Upper Level Prep Clinic - Last Minute Opportunity

3/31/2014

Due to the recent case of EHV1 virus in Iowa we moved our regional
April 5/6 Upper Level Prep with Jen Verharen to Collingwoods Farms in Peoria,
IL. Many of our riders for the prep are from Iowa and they will be unable to
attend so we would like to open up the opportunity to ride with Jen to all our
members!! Please see her info below:

This is Jen Verharen’s fifth year to return to North Central Prairie
Region. A very popular clinician and National Examiner, Jennifer Verharen is the
creator and founder of Cadence Coaching. She is a Certified Transformational
Life Coach, United States Dressage Federation Certified Instructor/Trainer,
Returned Peace Corps Volunteer and marathon runner. She has a BA in
Organizational Psychology and Mental Health, has done graduate work in clinical
psychology, is a trained mediator, and is a successful business owner. She
specializes in coaching entrepreneurs, athletes and equestrians.

Jennifer
has been passionate about dressage for over 25 years. In addition to being a
USDF Certified Instructor/ Trainer, she is a USDF “L” judge’s program graduate
with distinction, USDF bronze medalist, and USPC graduate A, testing committee
member, and level IV national examiner.

Her work as a riding instructor
reflects a diverse background that includes dressage training through the FEI
levels, eventing, the study of horse and rider biomechanics, centered riding,
positive reinforcement training (TAGteach and clicker training) and graduate
work in psychology. She is an intuitive teacher, instinctively choosing topics
for every lesson that cater to each horse and rider pair’s unique talents and
needs. She specializes in helping riders develop their horses up through the
levels in a way that fulfills the horse's desire for leadership while promoting
harmony and individual expression. She places equal emphasis on rider
psychology, horse psychology, biomechanics and the training scale. Jennifer
believes strongly that her job as an instructor is to promote independence in
riders- encouraging creative thinking and instilling confidence.
We have space for Pony Club members as full participants in the Upper
Level Prep at the discounted price of $150 for members who hold a mounted C2 and
above and $180 for D3 and up members. This includes a stall, rides on Saturday,
Jen’s educational Saturday evening talk and a Sunday am ride. This also includes
a $50 credit towards your next Upper Level prep! Entries should be made at
http://www.imagination-station.net/machform/view.php?id=44496for full participants. This is an amazing price!!!

Please contact Bridget Bryson at  bryson.bridget@gmail.com
for more information or to indicate your
participation!!

Jen Verharen clinic has openings for this coming weekend.
The clinic venue has been changed to Peoria, IL  (3hrs).   Jen
Verharen is a favorite clinician for the UL PC’ers.   We are going and
can take a horse if anyone needs a ride.
The clinic is $225 (I think) and FRVPC pays half for C2 and
  up.
